RRQ Hoshi and ONIC Esport Secure Upper Bracket Position Games
The MPL ID Season 9 Regular Season phase has ended.
The prestigious e-sports competition will be followed by a play-off which will take place on April 21-24.
Of the eight teams that competed in the regular season round, only six teams advanced to the MPL ID S9 playoffs.
These six teams occupy the bracket which is determined based on the last standings in the regular season.
The two teams at the top of the standings, RRQ Hoshi and Onic Esports, are expecting a new opponent to compete for a place in the final upper bracket.
On the other hand, four other teams consisting of Aura Fire, Bigetron Alpha, Evos Legends and Alter Ego will compete for the position and determine whether to advance to the Upper Bracket or instead go down to the Lower Bracket.
During the playoff phase, the participating E-sports teams will compete in a Best of 5 (BO5) match format.
By using the “Best of” match system, a team is declared victorious if it wins more rounds than its opponent.
Teams that qualify for the playoffs will compete in the Grand Final for a total prize pool of $300,000 or around Rp. 4.5 billion.
