Final Fantasy IX Gets Animated Series Adaptation
It was recently reported that Final Fantasy IX will get an animated series adaptation. Paris-based Cyber Group Studios has signed a co-production and development agreement with franchise owner Square Enix.
The Final Fantasy IX animated series will later be devoted to children aged eight to thirteen years. In addition, Cyber Group Studios will also be responsible for distribution, licensing, and merchandise worldwide.
Final Fantasy IX gets an animated adaptation!
Pierre Sissmann as CEO of Cyber Group Studios said that this animation project will start production at the end of this year or early 2022. Furthermore, there is no information on how many episodes or the duration of the animated series adaptation.
Most likely they will announce more details regarding this in the near future. We need to remind you that this is not the first time Final Fantasy has received an animated adaptation.

There are several Final Fantasy series that previously also received animated adaptations. As we know, Final Fantasy is one of the game franchises with a myriad of fans around the world.
Square Enix’s franchise has now crossed 154 million copies worldwide. Of course, Cyber Group Studios will take advantage of this popularity and opportunity through this Final Fantasy 9 animation.
