The Day Before Delay Reason Turns Out..!!

Starting from suddenly becoming the most wishlist game to a series of controversies, The Day Before has sparked concern and criticism. Fntastic as the developer had promised to show further gameplay footage. In fact, they have pushed back from their March 1, 2023 release date for a ridiculous reason!

Experiencing Delay First Time To Trigger Controversy

Previously, The Day Before really stole the attention since its first announcement. As a result, players who want to play it flock to the wishlist on Steam. The MMO survival game suddenly became the most wishlisted game .

The Day Before delayed again trademark

Initially, the game made by Fntastic was to be released on June 21, 2022. However, Fntastic decided to postpone it to March 1, 2023 on the grounds that they wanted to use the Unreal Engine 5 engine .

To make matters worse, Fntastic sparked controversy for relying on volunteers to make the game . Many of them are not paid at all. Moreover, Fntastic's track record has also sparked skeptical netizens .

The Reason for the Delay of The Day Before Turns Out…

On January 25, 2023, The Day Before page on Steam suddenly disappeared. This triggers a question mark for netizens , especially players who are already curious about the game . Even though previously Fntastic had promised to show real gameplay footage after being criticized a lot.

Fntastic finally opened their voices when this news circulated in cyberspace. They reveal a ridiculous reason behind the disappearance of The Day Before page on Steam. Trademark issues are claimed to be the main trigger.

“Prior to its release, Steam blocked our game at the request of an individual, because of the name The Day Before. As you know, our game was first announced in 2021. At the time of the announcement, the trademark was still available. Following the announcement, an individual apparently applied for the title of The Day Before in the United States before us," Fntastic wrote on their Twitter account.

Fntastic then shared the link in question . Based on the link, the name The Day Before was claimed by Sun Jae Lee. Lee had submitted the name in May 2021 before it was finally registered on November 1, 2022.

For this reason, Fntastic had no other choice but to postpone The Day Before to November 1, 2023. They hoped to resolve the trademark issue by asking to contact Sun Jae Lee. As a result, the promised gameplay video was forced to experience a delay.

The trademark issue that triggered the Steam page to be taken down is pretty ridiculous. Fntastic has promised fans that they will show a gameplay video . Of course fans are increasingly suspicious that this game has the potential to be a scam . It's not impossible that The Day Before will end up being vaporware or a game that's never been released.
