Complete List of National Teams Qualifying for the Top 16 of the 2022 World Cup

The series of group stage rounds have been completed on Friday (2/12) local time. The following is a complete list of national teams that have qualified for the round of 16 of the 2022 World Cup.

South Korea and Switzerland are the last two teams to secure a place in the round of 16. Positive results were obtained by South Korea after beating Portugal 2-1.

This result made South Korea qualify for the round of 16 to accompany Portugal who had previously secured a place in the knockout phase.

Son Heung Min et al finished as runners-up in Group H thanks to a superior goal difference from Uruguay, who both scored four points. Meanwhile, Portugal remains at the top of the standings with six points.

Meanwhile, Switzerland sealed the runner-up position in Group G with a collection of six points. This positive result was achieved after defeating Serbia 3-2. Switzerland has the right to accompany Brazil in the last 16.

France became the first team to ensure qualification for the knockout phase after winning their second victory in the group phase. Les Bleus won 4-1 over Australia on the first matchday and beat Denmark 2-1 on the second matchday.

France's steps were then followed by Brazil from Group G and Portugal from Group H. Brazil advanced to the round of 16 after beating Switzerland 1-0.

Meanwhile, Portugal secured a place in the round of 16 after silencing Uruguay 2-0. Two Selecao das Quinas goals were bought up by Bruno Fernandes.

Switzerland will accompany Brazil to the last 16 of the 2022 World Cup.

From Group A, the Netherlands and Senegal followed to qualify for the last 16 of the 2022 World Cup. The Netherlands qualified after winning over Qatar with a score of 2-0 while Senegal has the right to runner-up position after winning 2-1 against Ecuador.

In Group B, England and the United States managed to advance to the knockout phase. England finished as group winners after a 3-0 win over Wales while the United States took runner-up position with a narrow 1-0 win over Iran.

Positive results were also achieved by Australia, which in the last game succeeded in beating Denmark 1-0 in Group D. This victory led Australia to qualify as runner-up to accompany the Netherlands who won the group.

Surprises occurred in Group E because Japan qualified as group winners after beating Spain 2-1 in the last match. Nevertheless, Spain also has the right to advance as runners-up through its superior goal difference over Germany.
