Cyberpunk 2077 Has Edgerunner Update 1.6 and Showcases Expansion

CD Projekt Red doesn't seem to be ignoring how chaotic the launch of the Cyberpunk 2077 game that has been promised for years will be a success like The Witcher 3.

Now they have announced that they have released the latest update that offers fun to the game that was released in 2020.

In accordance with the planned presence of the animated series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners on Netflix this month, CD Projekt Red has released the Patch 1.6 update to their game. Here will be available a number of missions and content derived from the animation.

On the official Cyberpunk 2077 website it is stated that this collaboration content will present side missions (gigs) that will have story ties to the animation. Content such as weapons and outfits in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will also be found in the game.

A number of locations in the animation will also be able to explore in Night City. Update patch 1.6 also offers a number of bug fixes and new features, namely cross-progression for gamers on consoles and PCs.

One more thing that CD Projekt Red has prepared is an update in the form of an expansion that will be released next year.

This expansion is called Phantom Liberty and unfortunately CD Projekt Red only released a one-minute teaser video.

In the video, Cyberpunk 2077's main protagonist, V, is being sworn in to serve the New United States of America. Here at a glance shown that America appears in a new form.

Previously this game only focused on Night City, a big city in America that was inspired by the state of North California. The trailer also features Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves.

At that moment Johnny Silverhand claimed that the decision to join the New United States of America was a bad idea.

Seeing the return of the figure of V and Johnny, it is possible that this expansion will not continue the ending of the main lore of Cyberpunk 2077. The

ending of this game is available in two choices, if V chooses to remain in control of his body, he will die from the chip that is permanently embedded in it. Another option, V can surrender his body to Johnny Silverhand and live in virtual memory alias.
