Riot Games Confirms VALORANT Will Release on June 2, 2022!
Riot Games as the developer of the tactical shooting video game “VALORANT” has officially announced a launch date of June 2, 2022. A few days before its launch, the Closed Beta version will end on May 28. So the Riot team will reorganize players’ accounts, add new content, and prepare for the global launch of VALORANT. Once officially launched, fans of the competitive 5v5 tactical shooter will start the game from scratch, progressing from the same point as competing against other players around the world.
“Our goal has always been to bring VALORANT to all corners of the world, and we are excited to be able to do so on June 2,” said Anna Donlon, Executive Producer of VALORANT at Riot Games. “This launch is only the beginning and not the end of our journey.”
As a commitment and service to players, the VALORANT team will provide new game content, game modes, new agents, and new maps soon after launch. To meet the growing needs of players, Riot has also prioritized adding new game servers in its short-term plans to lower game latency for the convenience of VALORANT players.
Later players from Southeast Asia will be able to play VALORANT on PC in English, Indonesian, Thai and Traditional Chinese, as well as Vietnamese which will be available at the end of this year. The PC version will be available to download for free via www.PlayVALORANT.com. While Taiwan is excluded from this global launch due to additional technical integration work to meet local requirements, the game is expected to be available in these locations in the coming weeks.
