Komplete Edition Mysteriously Disappeared from Steam

Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition has been removed from Steam.

Although not officially confirmed by publisher Warner Bros or Steam operator Valve, members of ResetEra noted the game had been pulled while searching for it on the Steam store page, with players saying that “at the request of the publisher, Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition is no longer available for sale on Steam” (thanks, VG24 / 7 ).

Without clear confirmation of the deletion, Mortal Kombat fans can only ponder with that reason. Many argue this may be due to the overall right to Freddy Krueger returned from Warner Bros (the publishers of Mortal Kombat) to the estate of Wes Craven (who wrote and directed A Nightmare on Elm Street).

This isn’t the first time a Mortal Kombat game has been suddenly removed from Steam. Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection also experienced a similar incident in 2022.
