Get New Players, Final Fantasy 14 Digital Version Sold Out

In April this year, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy 14 had 14 million registered players in the MMORPG. This number is almost double the number of World of Warcraft users during the peak of popularity in 2010.

It’s no surprise that this massive popularity saw Final Fantasy 14 run out of physical copies of the game. But this out of stock doesn’t just happen to physical Final Fantasy 14.

True, it has recently been reported that Final Fantasy 14 has also run out of digital stock for the game. This is known through Reddit user – Polydopamine who posted a photo showing Final Fantasy 14 digital out of stock.

In addition, players also experience an obstacle due to server congestion. YouTuber Skill Up later shared a Reddit post on Twitter hers. Of course this is a question for fans, how did Square Enix run out of digital stock from their game.

The reason why Final Fantasy XIV digital stock is running out

What’s more, the advantage of the digital version is that it has unlimited stock, unlike the physical version. If you look at it, there are two reasons why this could happen to Final Fantasy 14.

First, Square Enix limited sales of the game to reduce server congestion. Second, the total sales of this digital version have reached their limit. The good news is, as of this writing, sales of digital copies have resumed.

One of the reasons why Final Fantasy 14 can get a lot of new players on its own is because of the Twitch Streamer – Asmongold (World of Warcraft streamer). He decided to play Final Fantasy XIV for the first time and it was watched by more than 200,000 people.

Final Fantasy 14 itself is scheduled to launch the Endwalker expansion on November 19.
