CD Projekt in Development of New The Witcher Using Unreal Engine 5!

Through their Twitter account, CD Projekt has announced that they are developing a new The Witcher using Unreal Engine 5. This information comes directly through their official Twitter account.

They will work closely with Epic Games which will create this new The Witcher which will be developed using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5. Previously, CD Projekt itself had been using REDengine for more than a decade.

Now CD Projekt has made a decision to work with Epic Games to use Unreal Engine 5. This collaboration includes not only licensing, but technical development of Unreal Engine 5 and other versions in the future.

Along with this, CD Projekt says that Cyberpunk 2077 will continue to use REDengine, as well as future expansions.

Because of this collaboration with Epic Games, many fans are worried that the new The Witcher will be released exclusively on the Epic Games Store. However, CD Projekt has confirmed that they are not planning on making the new The Witcher an exclusive.

This confirmation ensures that The Witcher is likely to be released on multiple platforms, including PC on Steam, GOG or the Epic Games Store. There is no further information regarding this new The Witcher starting from the trailer until the exact release date.
