Bandai Namco Announces Sword Art Online Variant Showdown Mobile
The popularity of Sword Art Online is never-ending. Starting from an anime, now Sword Art Online has been adapted into various games on various different platforms. Starting from consoles, PCs and now Mobile.
That’s right, Bandai Namco has announced the Sword Art Online game for the Mobile platform. They named this game Sword Art Online Variant Showdown for Android and iOS devices.

This Showdown variant is planned to be released for free-to-play, aka free to play. This announcement comes as a celebration of Sword Art Online’s 10th anniversary. There is no further information from Bandai Namco.
Sword Art Online Variant Showdown will tell the story of a game called Cross Edge. In this game, there will be a mysterious player wearing a cloak and killing many players and making those players lose their memories.

Kirigaya Kazuto alias Kirito as the main character suspects that this is the work of Laughing Coffin, a clan that terrorizes players when Kirito is trapped in the Sword Art Online (Anime) game.
Because of this, he decided to investigate this incident with his friends. Sword Art Online is now 1 decade old since it was first released in 2012. In the past 10 years, SAO has received Manga, Anime, Movie and Video Game adaptations.
According to information, Sword Art Online Variant Showdown will be released globally this year. Players can also pre-register via official site of the game. Players who pre-register will later get prizes according to the number of players who have pre-registered.
