1. Don’t waste your bullets
Ammo/bullets are one of the most valuable things in Half-Life: Alyx, especially for your rifle, so don’t waste any wooden boxes you missed, because that’s where the bullets come from.
2. Increase ammo capacity
Use hard-to-find resins wisely. Besides being able to create bombs, resin is also useful for increasing your ammunition capacity.
3. Make supplies

So, if you enter an area with lots of grenades and first aid kits, make supplies by choosing which items are worth storing and throwing away.
