Tips on Build Zhongli, Archon Geo With Meteor Genshin Impact

After fans speculated, finally Zhongli was officially announced as a Geo-elemental Archon character in Genshin Impact. Known as Rex Lapis or Morax, the holder of this earth elemental Gnosis has many unique abilities. Moreover, his Elemental Burst can summon Meteor with very high damage.

Following the release of the new banner, many have longed to own a Zhongli. Not many are confused about how to build effectively to maximize this character. 

Capability Introduction

Zhongli's Elemental ability called Dominus Lapidis allows him to take out Geo pillars. Later, this pillar can do damage with other Geo Constructs such as Ningguang's abilities or your Main Character. If pressed, this Elemental can break Geo energy and make Zhongli create a Shield for your character.

At first glance, this Elemental ability does emphasize Geo's playing style which tends to be more passive. Meanwhile, Planet Befall's Elemental Burst creates a meteor with 400% damage and leaves the enemy to be petrified aka stun for quite a long time.

Weapon of Choice

Banner Zhongli comes at the same time as one of his best weapons, the Vortex Vanquisher which can provide additional Shield up to ATK%. Two other 5-star Polearm weapons, namely Primordial Jade or Skyward Spine can also be used on this character to increase his physical damage.

If you are a player who is unlucky to get this weapon through gacha, you can aim for the Favonius Lance weapon to add Energy Recharge so you can issue Planet Befall faster. Meanwhile, you can also make Crescent Pike from the Crafting system in the game.

Best Artifacts to Build

You can get Geo elemental artifacts from the Domain in Guyun Stone Forest. Later, the Archaic Petra or Retracing Bolide set can increase damage from Geo or strengthen the Shield. If you play Zhongli as the main DPS, a combination of 2 sets of Archaic Petra and Retracing Bolide can be used.

Meanwhile, if you only use Zhongli for Burst, add two sets of Noblesse Oblige and use Retracing Bolide. Later, you can use the Archaic Petra set for Noelle's character which you can pair with Zhongli to activate Elemental Resonance from Geo.

Team Member Composition

The Geo element only has one reaction, namely, Crystalize which allows it to absorb Shields with certain types of elements. This can be a drawback because geo elements cannot increase their damage. However, Zhongli and other Geo characters have higher average damage so they are stronger.

You can use four Geo characters at once, namely Main Character, Noelle, and Ningguang to create Geo synergy. Later, these four characters can get the opportunity to share elemental orbs to activate Burst continuously.
