Update Features, Modes, and New Weapons in PUBG Mobile Patch 0.17.0

PUBG Mobile officially launched the latest update Patch 0.17.0 on March 3, 2022. This update requires about 1.69 GB of data on Android and 1.95 GB on iOS.

If you update before March 6, 2022, you will get 50 Silver, 2,888 BP and 3 Day Anniversary Pan Skin prizes. Players with different versions of the game cannot invite each other. So you should immediately update.

New Content in Classic Mode:

1. Erangel – Amusement Park Mode (available from 12 March)

Players have the opportunity to try Amusement Park Mode during matchmaking in Erangel in Classic Mode, which includes:

  • Amusement Park: In this mode, Amusement Park will appear randomly at three locations in the Classic Erangel map.
  • Arcade Machines: Interactive Arcade Machines will be placed in Amusement Parks and major cities, which you can activate with Tokens.
  • games and Attractions: Hunt Game, Space War, What’s in the Box, Shooting Range, Trampoline and Reverse Bungee.
  • Reverse Bungee + Wingsuit: Reverse Bungee will appear in the middle of Amusement Park. Players can be launched into the air to use their parachutes and plunge again.

2. New AirDrop Weapon: DBS Shotgun

DBS, a dual-barreled rifle that can only be obtained from AirDrop.

  • The DBS has an internal magazine that holds 14 12 Gauge ammunition which can fire 2 rounds at once.
  • The remaining DBS bullets need to be ejected after 2 shots, which is faster than the reload speed of the previous rifle.
  • The DBS can be paired with Holographic Sight, Red Dot Sight, and 2x – 6x Scope attachments.

3. Independent Teammate Volume Control

New feature that provides support for adjusting the volume of specific teammates. Players can adjust the size of the volume depending on the voice of teammates.

4. Universal Mark

Added Universal Marks, which allow players to mark places, supplies, vehicles, death crates and doors. When marking, the mark or mark will display different symbols depending on the object. Players can mark or respond to signs that have been given by teammates to facilitate communication. This feature can also be adjusted according to taste through Settings.

5. Death Replay

Added Death Replay, which allows players to see the moment before they are defeated. Players can see the position of the enemy who managed to defeat him clearly and get their perspective for a limited time before his death.

6. Colorblind mode

Added Colorblind Mode in Graphic Settings, which gives more color options to use in in-game indicators, such as Poison, Smoke, and Auxiliary Line.

New Arcade Mode Content:

1. Return of Hardcore Mode

Return of Hardcore Mode

Hardcore Mode can be selected through the Arcade Mode selection menu. In this mode, players need to perform many actions manually such as picking up items or closing/opening doors. This mode gives players a more realistic shooting sensation as well as a survival experience.

New EvoGround Content:

1. Add Arctic Mode (coming soon)

Taking the gameplay base from Classic Mode, arctic storms will appear periodically in Vikendi. Players need to keep their body temperature stable, otherwise their HP will continue to decrease.

Ways to maintain body temperature:

  • Use matches to make fires inside buildings or add sticks to the fire to smolder the embers.
  • Hunt the chicken to get raw meat that can later be grilled over the fire, then eat the roasted chicken to return your body temperature to normal.
  • Use items such as heaters or heat packs.

2. EvoGround Gameplay Adjustments

Survive Till Dawn and RageGear – PickUp will be temporarily removed for an overhaul after the update. Please continue to observe the update notes for information on future release schedules.

3. Team Deathmatch – Camer System Overhaula

Overhauled camera shake and position adjustments in some situations in Team Deathmatch FPP mode to increase the element of realism.

  • Celebrate PUBG MOBILE’s 2nd anniversary with a Royale Pass reward upgrade. Choose one main set of two. Anniversary-themed items are returning to the Shop, so don’t miss out!
  • Improved the Purchase and Upgrade interface and added support for Exclusive Vouchers (available from events).
  • Players who have not purchased a Royale Pass in the last 3 seasons (9, 10 and 11) and players who signed up from season 10 but have not purchased a Royale Pass before will receive a bonus when they purchase in this season.
