Tencent Invests in Game Developer Yager
Recently the giant Tencent invested money into independent developer Yager. This game developer based in Berlin, Germany is known for the game Spec Ops: The Line.
Yager himself has confirmed that Tencent is indeed investing, but Yager has also confirmed that their company will continue to operate independently. The nominal investment itself is not stated, but for Tenvent, which owns Riot Games and 40 percent of Epic Games’ shares, the figure given to Yager is also fantastic.
Timo Ulmann, CEO of Yager said that they are delighted to be a partner of Tencent. The investment will be very profitable, in addition to expanding the scope of business, they can also take advantage of Tencent’s industry knowledge.
