Number of Maps, Players and Release Date
After various leaks and rumors, now the new Battlefield has actually been announced. EA also kept their promise to announce the latest entry from Battlefield in the middle of this year.
The latest series from the Battlefield franchise is scheduled to launch in the fall of this year, in October 2022 to be exact. Although it doesn’t include campaign and battle royale modes, there will be a lot of content that players can play in this game.
Various details of Battlefield 2042
So far, there are two main modes that have been confirmed to be present in Battlefield 2042. These two modes they named Conquest and Breakthrough. In addition, EA is also preparing other modes that may be announced in the near future.
EA has confirmed some details regarding their game. Like Battlefield 2042, it will have 7 different maps when it’s released. It will then be played by 128 players for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC.

Furthermore, Battlefield 2042 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One itself will number 64 people. So far, there is no further information about the mode in Battlefield 2042 for now.
Regardless, for the standard version, Battlefield 2042 will be priced at USD 59 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Then for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X it will have a price of USD 69, which is quite reasonable for the next-gen version.
