Game "Super Mario Bros." Still Sealed Breaks the Record as the Most Expensive Game

In three and a half decades of Super Marior Bros. keep breaking records. Recently a copy of the Super Marios Bros. game. The 1985 US version sold for 114,000 USD at Heritage Auctions. This sale broke the record for the most expensive game last year held by the same game. For those who don’t know, Super Mario Bros. with similar conditions managed to sell for 100,150 at last year’s auction.

According to game collector and journalist Chris Kohler, this incident made Super Mario Bros. became the most expensive game ever sold to date.

What makes this version really coveted is that apart from getting a 9.4 out of 10 rating, which means the game’s copy has almost perfect conditions, this game is an American version, which has been around the world from time to time.

Not only that, usually game collectors who hunt classic games are willing to spend quite a bit to get the essence of nostalgia, especially from games like Super Mario Bros. legendary.
