The Story of Hero Floryn: The Bearer of Hope in the Barren Agelta Drylands

Belerick finds derivative Agelta Drylands a few months ago. Despair and sadness almost consumed the area, before finally a small flower bloomed before him. Belerick, who was desperate at that time, suddenly shouted with joy “There is still life!” Moved by a very strong vitality, Belerick also created a fertile area in that place which became known as the Oasis.

While creating the Oasis, Belerick accidentally poured excess power into a small flower, which caused its energy to condense into a glowing seed. The little flower then underwent a strange change. His form quickly transformed into a life never seen in the Land of Dawn, which Belerick later named Floryn.

Since birth, Floryn has never left the Oasis. Belerick exiles him from the terrible desert environment, in order for him to live a carefree life. The only thing that had been with him all this time was a seed that had appeared at his birth. For Floryn, the luminous seed is the only mystery in her life. He spent his days contemplating the secret of the seed, wondering what was inside, and why he was born with the seed.

Floryn actually wanted to ask all his doubts to the explorers and caravans who occasionally visited the Oasis, but he was afraid because many people would be interested if they saw the seed that glittered like a gem.

Among the caravans that frequented the Oasis, Floryn met a young man with a charming smile. The young man always told Floryn pleasant stories he had seen or heard on his travels whenever he came to stay at the Oasis. As their friendship deepens, Floryn’s trust in the young man also grows. He showed the luminous seed to the young man, hoping that he could help him solve this riddle.

At first, the young man helped Floryn seek information about the seed wholeheartedly. However, as time went on, Floryn found the young man always avoiding his gaze, and frequently changing the subject whenever Floryn discussed the seed. The various oddities that appeared in the young man then made Floryn worried.

One night, Floryn wakes up. He was shocked when he realized the seed that had always been with him had disappeared. Floryn searched all over the Oasis, but couldn’t find it. Out of concern, Floryn went to ask the young man for help, but it turned out that the young man had left the Oasis on a camel.

A thought that Floryn had dreaded started to appear in her mind, “Was he the one who stole my seed?”

Floryn then tried to follow the young man out of the Oasis. He wanted to know the truth. However, he did not find any answers along the way, all he found was an endless desert that he had seen for the first time. Floryn realized that the situation outside the Oasis was filled with despair, the locals he saw were pitiful, his gaze filled with emptiness, as if he had no tomorrow to live on.

The same situation also occurred in a village that was rumored to be the hometown of the young man. The condition of the village looks shattered, all the farmland is full of cracks, the wells are dry, the children are starving, some of them seem to have given up hope, but there are also some of them who continue to struggle to survive.

The young man was seen lying alone in the corner of the village. He apparently wanted to sell the seed to feed his family, but he did not expect that the seed would wither away from Floryn. As a result, no one wants to pay him a dime.

Full of guilt, the young man finally returned the withered seed to Floryn, prepared to pay the price for betraying their friendship.

While looking at him compassionately, Floryn didn’t say a word. However, his experiences along the way made Floryn understand the difficulties the young man was going through. Compared to the sadness of being betrayed, another emotion that was far stronger and more complicated was churning in his heart. Driven by that emotion, Floryn desperately wanted to do something for this country, to save the people living from the tremendous misery that this young man was going through.

Responding to Floryn’s strong determination, suddenly a surge of magic power swelled from the bottom of Floryn’s heart. The power continued to flow through his arm and poured into the seed in his hand. Sensing its power, the previously withered seed now began to glow again, and from the light it gave off, emerged a cute and lively little creature.

The little creature immediately jumped into the air and ran here and there while showing its strength. With a wave of its tail, suddenly a heavy rain came, and new shoots began to grow from the previously barren place. The once lifeless village was now filled with greenery in mere minutes.

Floryn was stunned by the scene before him. He never imagined that the seed that had been with him all this time could give birth to a magical creature like this, just as he had never thought of leaving the Oasis. Only when Floryn’s determination to change the desert aligns with Belerick’s hopes can this seed awaken its true power.

Even though the little creature born from the seed was still very young, from its power Floryn saw a great possibility to change the fate of the desert.

“You look like a drop of dew. I should have called you Dew!” Floryn said as the little creature landed on his hand with a smile.

Hearing Floryn’s words, Dew immediately flew around him excitedly, as if he also liked the name.

Dew’s environmental changes brought a ray of light to the villagers. The young man then promised Floryn that he would never betray his friendship again, Floryn then responded with joy.

After enjoying a moment of happiness with the villagers, Floryn finally said goodbye to continue his journey to another place that needed his help.

Now, thanks to Floryn and Dew’s unrelenting efforts, Oasis is developing quite quickly. All the greenery began to spread throughout the desert, erasing all sorrow and despair.
