Epic Games Offers Sony $200 Million To Play PlayStation Games On PC - Info | Review

Hello Ghack Friends,

In an interview with GQ earlier this year, Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan confirmed that in order to make a release port on PC is a must and game releases for PC are being planned and an example is the 2022 PS4 exclusive Uncharted IV: A Thief’s End which is likely to arrive for PC consoles.

Since last year, Epic Games has been in a legal dispute with Apple and information that has come out at trial includes Epic Games offering Sony millions just to be the first to bring PlayStation games to PC consoles.

Document containing Epic and Sony deal information

The document confirms that Epic is waiting for a response from Sony and the offer is up to $200 million for 4-6 game titles. But unfortunately there is no further information that says when the deal will take place and whether the game is only available for the Epic Games Store.

But it’s important to note that the PC versions of Days Gone and Horizon Zero Dawn have been released on the Epic Games Store which is a competitor to Steam.

Further information also confirms that Epic Games has its own tactics to lure Microsoft and Nintendo into the Epic Games Store. Meanwhile, information also states that Xbox boss Phil Spencer often meets Valve CEO Gabe Newell.

Although the document does not show solid information about what Epic Games has discussed with other game companies, it seems that Sony is starting to move in the same direction as Epic, this is evidenced by Sony that more games will be coming to PC consoles.
