PlayStation 5
Who doesn’t know PlayStation? Many of you must have played this console often. PlayStation is one of the best-selling consoles in the world. Sony will release the successor of the PlayStation 4 in the 2022 holiday season, with an estimate between October and December.
For the specifications, Sony has confirmed that the PlayStation 5 will be equipped with an AMD Ryzen Octa-core (8 Core) processor, with an AMD Navi GPU (Graphic Processor Unit) and equipped with SSD (Solid State Drive) storage. PlayStation 5 has a screen resolution of up to 8K and can be used as a Blu-ray Player in 4K resolution.
Of course, with specifications like this, the PlayStation 5 will be more powerful than the PlayStation 4.
Xbox Series X
Well, this console is the main rival of the PlayStation. After the success of his Xbox One. Now Microsoft wants to immediately launch the Xbox Series X or also known as Project Scarlett. This console is planned to be present in the holiday season this year.
In a press conference at last year’s E3 event, Microsoft claimed that this new Xbox would have four times the capability of the Xbox One, with a screen resolution of up to 8K, capable of performing real time ray tracing, and 120fps rendering.
Some of the games that have been confirmed to be released for this console include, Gods and Monsters, Hello Infinity, outriders, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Quarantine, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, and Watch Dogs: Legion.
Reportedly, this console is also capable of doing backward compatibility to Xbox One. This means that you will be able to play Xbox One games on this console. Cool too!
Atari VCS (Ataribox)
Even though it has a casing similar to the Atari 2600, this latest console released by Atari will have capabilities like current consoles. Atari VCS will later be able to play games up to 4K resolution, using a Bluetooth Controller, Streaming and others. It is even reported that their Joystick Classic will be present to complement the Atari VCS.
This console was actually leaked in June 2022 at E3 under the name Project Atariboxthen Atari only opened pre-orders on May 30, 2022. I don’t know what caused this console to be slowed down, but it has been confirmed that the Atari VCS will be released in March this year.
